Gay pride flags, lights illuminate Branford town hall to honor Orlando victims

BRANFORD--Dozens gathered on the Town Green in Branford Monday night to honor the victims of the tragic nightclub shooting in Orlando.

Branford vigil at town hallEarlier in the day, gay pride flags were raised in front of Town Hall, and Monday night the building was illuminated to honor the victims.

"The response on social media has been amazing. People sharing it and commenting. It's just a really great way for the community to come together, unite, and stand together with Florida," said Colin Sheehan, who organized the event #Branford4Orlando.

The flags and lights will continue to show from sunset through midnight for the next week.
