FARMINGTON -- Camp is back in session!
Camp Courant kicked off its season on Monday, welcoming more than 600 kids for the summer.
Campers enjoyed arts and crafts, playing on the jungle gym, and enjoying a brand-new pool! The state gave Camp Courant $850,000 to renovate the pool.
"We have a lot of activities going on but I think the most exciting activity is the what's going on down in the swimming pool, we have a brand new 130,000-gallon pool and the kids are absolutely loving it!" said McKinley Albert, the executive director and CEO of Camp Courant.
Just last week FOX 61 helped raise $60,000 to send kids to camp through a telethon.
