State police identify man killed on bike in Haddam

HADDAM –  State Police have identified the man who died in a bike accident Saturday in Haddam.

Police said that just before 3 p.m.,Tadeusz Grabala, 57, of Williamsburg Road in Higganum, was on a bike and went through a stop sign at the bottom of Jail Hill Road and crossed into Saybrook Road. The bike struck the rear passenger side of a 2004 Lincoln Aviator driven by Amy Feulner, 38, of East Haddam.

LifeStar responded to take Grabal to the hospital with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead

Grabala wasn’t carrying an ID  so police asked for help to find out who he was.

State police continue to investigate the crash.
