Two shot in West Hartford home

WEST HARTFORD — Two people were injured in a shooting at a West Hartford home.

Police said they received a report of shots fired around 7:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on Jackson Avenue.

Responding officers found a man and a woman inside the same room suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions weren’t immediately available.

Police said they aren’t sure who fired the shots but that it was a domestic incident.

Four children who were in the home at the time of the shooting were uninjured, ranging from 3-13 years old.

Police said the female victim is the mother of the children. It’s unclear what relationship the man has to the woman and the children.

Police haven’t released the victims’ identities. No further details were immediately available.

There’s no word on any arrests.
