Body found after fire at Enfield home

ENFIELD-- A body was found after a fire in a home in Enfield, Tuesday night.

The fire broke out at a Garden Street home on Tuesday just before 7 p.m. The home was damaged throughout.

The body was found when firefighters swept the home after the flames were out. Officials have not released the identity of the person. It's not known if the death happened before the fire started or was caused by the fire.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire, and the cause of death is pending an autopsy.
