VERNON – Police said two teenage boys were arrested after a crash involving a stolen car early Wednesday.

According to police, the suspects were arrested after driving the stolen car and hitting a guardrail on Windsor Avenue near the intersection of Union Street around 1:15 a.m.

The car was totaled but the driver and passengers were not injured, police said.  Two teenage girls were also in the car but have not been charged.

Authorities believe the car was stolen from Manchester and are investigating whether or not this incident could be related to a string of burglaries and thefts that occurred in several neighborhoods in Vernon during the month of June.

Police reminded residents to keep their car doors locked and to report any information on the thefts to the Vernon police.
