HARTFORD — The Old State House in Hartford may be closed, but the farmers market and concerts will continue for the near future.

A spokesman for the Connecticut Public Affairs Network, which handled programming at the historic site, said the organization reached an agreement with the state’s Office of Legislative Management to temporarily keep the farmers’ market and concert series running. William Bevacqua said they’re working on a longer-term agreement as well.

The farmers’ market, held Tuesdays and Fridays on the Old State House grounds, was open Friday. It will continue to run through at least July 15.

State lawmakers transferred responsibility of the site from OLM to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Details of that transfer are still being worked out. The facility will be closed in the meantime.
