TORRINGTON— A 6-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after she was pulled from a Connecticut lake.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says emergency personnel were alerted on Sunday evening to a possible drowning at Burr Pond State Park in Torrington.
Authorities said the girl was conscious after she was pulled from the water. She was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, where she was treated and released.
Authorities did not provide further details.
The New Haven Register reports that a 5-year-old boy drowned in the same pond in June.
