HARTFORD -- Earlier this year, a team of young baseball players visited Cuba in a cultural exchange that happened on baseball diamonds and homes across the country.

Next week, the Cuban team will visit Connecticut. The team will visit the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Monday, July 11th the team will play a game, 3:00 p.m.,  at University of Hartford. The welcome ceremony  will be at 6:00 p.m. and a private reception at 7:00 p.m. The game and opening ceremony is a free event open to the public, tickets are required for the reception.

There will be a  Summer Baseball Clinic, which is open by registration, to players age 8-18 on  Wednesday, July 13th 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Hall High School, 975 North Main Street, West Hartford,

FOX 61's  Jimmy Altman and Tim Brennan, Team USA Project Leader, joined Good Day Connecticut to talk about the visit.
