GUILFORD -- Jake Slocum was diagnosed with autism when he was 3-years-old.
But, Slocum had a hard time finding therapies that worked for her son, who is now 8-years-old.
"We spent a lot of money and a lot of time going down avenues that weren’t a fit for Jake."
"It will populate parents who are raising similar children. I’ll be able to connect with them on a personal basis," she says, attempting to create a day-to-day resource for parents with information, such as transitioning to new schools or camps.
The free service is in the development phase. Slocum hopes to launch the app in the fall.
