HARTFORD - Stan talks with an 11 year-old Windsor girl who went to the White House to meet First Lady Michelle Obama. She was the state winner of the First Lady's Healthy Lunchtime Challenge recipe competition put on by the Department of Education, The Department of Agriculture and PBS. Kids 8-12 years old from all 50 states and the U.S. territories were eligible to enter.
Fifth-grader Kalaya Moody and her mom, Beverly Moody, tell Stan about the recipe that won Kalaya the first prize in Connectictut. Kalaya's winning entry was called "Springtime Lunchtime," and includes a healthy egg, chicken, and veggie muffin, flower shaped french toast and a berry and banana smoothie.
