BOSTON – Connecticut fans flooded Fenway Park on Sunday to celebrate its annual Connecticut Day.

The Red Sox’s State Day appreciation program allows an exclusive ticket purchase opportunity for fans, and honors the rich history of each New England state.

Fans from each state in New England are able to purchase tickets through a random drawing process to experience the special day with a Red Sox-Twins baseball game.

Members of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation celebrated this year’s Connecticut Day on behalf of Foxwoods Resort Casino. The chairman, Rodney Butler, threw the ceremonial first pitch and tribe members Asia and Kiona Carter sang the National Anthem at home plate.
