SOUTH WINDSOR--Rotary Field in South Windsor was the site of American Legion state semi as RCP Post 105 took on New London for a spot in the finals on Friday night.

The teams went scoreless through three innings, when Corey Baldwin sent a hit past short stop for RCP and Nick Querioz got on his horse from second base to cross home plate and put post 105 up 1-0. Then the very next pitch Cole Ogorzalek with the bunt and throw to third went high and wide, which allowed Noah Budzik to jog home as RCP was up 5-0 after the inning.

Top of the fourth Pieter Khouryl chopped the grounder back toward the mound and the force throw went in the dirt as Jeremy Santos hustled home to get New London on the board 5-1. But RCP stayed firmly in control to win 6-2 to advance to the state final on Friday.
