BRIDGEPORT - The name Diana Taurasi is well-known in Connecticut from her championship days at UConn and her WNBA days with Phoenix, where she has also won a championship.

Friday night, she is back in the Nutmeg State playing with Team USA.

The national women's basketball team is playing an exhibition game against Canada in a tune-up for the Olympics in Rio Brazil.

Bob Rumbold talked to the ex-Huskie about how the national team is coming along, concerns for her heath and safety in Rio, plus the mini UConn reunion with five other players on the USA team.

The national team will have their final exhibition Sunday in New York at Madison Square Gardens against Australia before heading to the Olympics.

Taurasi is going for her fourth straight gold medal at the Brazil games after winning Athens 2004, Bejing 2008, and London in 2012.
