The first two days of August will offer a big change from last week’s record-tying heat wave. A stubborn front stalled south of the area with waves of low pressure riding along it.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with the chance for a shower or two (most of the day will be dry). A lingering shower is possible Tuesday morning followed by a drier afternoon.

Drier weather returns Wednesday and beyond for next week with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and low to moderate humidity.  Temperatures should stay in the 80s most of the first week of August. We might flirt with 90 by the end of the week, but no heat wave is predicted at this time.
