Route 5 in East Windsor reopens after tractor-trailer crash

EAST WINDSOR — A tractor-trailer crash caused Route 5 to be closed for several hours on Tuesday, before the road reopened around the 4 p.m. rush.

The crash happened at 200 S Main St. when a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck collided. The stretch of Route 5 from Stoughton Road to Abbe Road was expected to be closed for an indefinite period of time. Power was out in the immediate area, but appears to have been restored.

The single tractor-trailer hit a telephone pole and brought wires down on the road.

There were no serious injuries according to the video East Windsor Police posted on Facebook.
