COVENTRY -- One little 4-year-old was as happy as could be on Wednesday.

Ryan has neurofibromatosis, a disease that can have serious consequences, including bone deformities, learning disabilities and high blood pressure. He also can lead to tumors and other inherited conditions.

Ryan has always dreamed of being a police officer, and the Coventry Police Department granted his wish, honoring him as a junior officer on Wednesday. Not only did he get to hop in a police car and spend the day with officers, he got his very own uniform, complete with hat and boots and in his very little size!

Ryan also got to meet K9 unites, marine patrol, and officers using SWAT gear.
