SHELTON–Months after a home invasion was reported, police have made an arrest.

Francisco Colon-Cotto, 23, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday in Bridgeport Superior Court, where he was appearing on another unrelated charge. He is charged with home invasion, robbery in the first degree, conspiracy to commit home invasion, conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, unlawful restraint in the second degree and conspiracy to commit unlawful restraint in the second degree.

Additional arrests are expected.

According to Shelton Police, on January 8, 2016, around 10:30 a.m. William Frascatore, 36, of Shelton, called 911 to report someone had broken into his home. When police arrived Frascatore said two people entered through an open door, surprised him in his bedroom and tied him up. They stole jewelry and a cell phone, then drove off in a silver Honda Accord with a loud muffler.

While investigating, police found a marijuana grow operation in Frascatore’s basement, and they seized plants, dried marijuana and growing equipment. Frascatore was arrested for the marijuana operation at the time and charged with cultivation of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession of marijuana more than 4 ounces, possession with intent to sell, use of drug paraphernalia and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
