CHESHIRE–I-691 in the westbound direction was closed after a two-vehicle crash for a short time, but has since reopened. Some lanes may be closed overnight while investigators continue to clear the scene and determine what caused the crash.
Around 10 p.m. on Friday night two cars crash between exists 2 and 1. At least one of the involved cars overturned.
Police say that there were injuries reported as a result of the crash, but the extent of those injuries is currently unknown.
According to the state Department of Transportation, it will take less than four hours to clear the scene completely.
