It happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday night at 1994 Main Street when police said they responded to shots fired.
When police arrived on scene, they said they said they found Steven Keaton, 42 of New Britain, in the rear common hallway of the building suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said they provided medical attention until the arrival of EMTs and Keaton was taken to Saint Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation and police said the investigation is ongoing at this time.
There was no word on arrests Sunday morning but the scene is clear.
