FARMINGTON -- A special poetry reading featuring the current United States Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera and Poet Peg Boyers was held Sunday evening at the Hill-stead Museum in Farmington. It was hosted by FOX 61's own Sarah Cody and sponsored in part by FOX 61.

The annual summer event began in 1992, and has expanded over time to include some truly remarkable poets.

The event included readings and musical performances.

Herrera is the 21st Poet Laureate of the United States and is the first Latino man to hold the position.
