MILFORD – A Naugatuck woman was arrested on Thursday for animal cruelty after she abandoned a house in Milford.

On July 27, the Milford Police Department said they got a complaint of possible cruelty to animals due to a house being abandoned at 92 Mayflower Place in Milford.

Police said they found five animals had been left behind at an abandoned home, and two dogs were later euthanized due to their poor health.

Police arrested Temisa Fossett, 45, of Naugatuck, and charged her with five counts of cruelty to animals.

Fossett was released on a Promise to Appear in Milford Court on September 6, according to police.
