BRANFORD – On Saturday, some members of the Branford Fire Department responded to somebody who was feeling the heat, but not from a fire.

Department members stepped in when they heard that a veteran was at home in this heat and high humidity with no air conditioning.

The veteran did have a window unit, but he was not able to install it on his own, so the guys from Division 4 responded to take care of this small job that had a big impact.

Sunday night will be another mild and muggy evening, but there will be a brief bout of slightly less humid air on Monday.
