STRATFORD -- Every year, families spend hundreds of dollars per child on back to school supplies and clothing.  This can be very challenging for some.  That’s where two Stratford teachers are helping out.

Christina Rusate and Jackie Sherrick also own Encore, A Consignment Boutique, so they decided to plan an event that combines their love of fashion and fundraising.

On Wednesday, August 17th from 6-10 PM, they’re hosting “A Girls Night Out” at the Orange Ale House.  It’s located at 517 Boston Post Road in Orange.  There will be shopping, silent auctions, chair massages, a photo booth, live music and more.  Appetizers will be provided.  Admission is just ten dollars.  The money will all go towards purchasing clothing and supplies for area kids in need.

The ladies sat down with Fox 61’s Erin Logan to talk about the upcoming event.
