MANCHESTER – We all scream for it, even more so this past week and weekend.
When the heat is on, a great way to cool of is with ice cream.
Geron Jackson, owner of Cream Time, said while many would think heat brings customers, these high temperatures actually hurt neighborhood business.
“It definitely impacts people because a lot of people, they’re inside they’re playing a video game, or under the AC with all the windows closed, so they don’t hear us,” he said.
His biggest bucks on scorching days come from parties, events or other businesses.
“I've gotten a lot of corporate events that are really hot inside their building because of the outside temperature, so they call us up to kind of give the employees like a little break from the heat," he said.
To put everything in perspective, Jackson said, in six years, this has been his best summer for his business.
Cream Time is based out of Manchester but covers events statewide.
