EAST LYME -- Human remains were possibly found in East Lyme Monday morning, State Police tell FOX 61.

A person called police just before 7 a.m. Monday morning. They told troopers at Troop E in Montville that they found a "suspicious item."

It appears that item was a human skull, which was lying about 150 yards into the property of the Sleepy Hollow Road and Van Winkle Way in the Niantic section of town.
