STORRS--With the 2016 season opener against Iona just over a week away for the UConn men's soccer team, preparation is in full swing.
But after loosing just two starters from last year's squad, Coach Ray Reid and the Huskies feel like they have hit a groove.
With top scorer Abdou Mbacke Thaim back for his sophomore season and red shirt junior Scott Levene back defending the goal, a high level of team chemistry is set and ready for the season. The players also come into this year with their focus firmly on the next game and not looking toO far forward down the schedule, a lesson learned from a slow start to last season.
