WOLCOTT -- Matthew Parkinson has made the cut yet again.

The bladesmith, who owns a Wolcott shop called Dragon's Breath Forge, has been invited, once again, to compete on "Forged in Fire," a reality show on the History Channel that pits some of the most accomplished sword and knife makers in the world in competition.

Parkinson was featured in the first season of the program and will return on August 23 in a special champions edition.

The show challenges bladesmiths to create works and see how effectively they cut.

"It's going to be great, it's like 'Iron Chef' for men" Parkinson said. "It's the battle of the best."

Parkinson will go up against three other past "Forged in Fire" champs, who will showcase their sword and knife making skills.

"Sharp pointy things, playing with fire and hitting things really hard," Parkinson laughed. "You're going to want to watch!"
