BOLTON — An elderly Bolton woman died after being pulled from Bolton Lake late Saturday afternoon.
The call came in around 5:47pm when 89-year-old Virginia Bergstrom was located unresponsive in the lake next to her house. The occupants of a nearby boat saw her in the water and pulled her to shore where they called 911.
Bolton Fire Department, State Police, and DEEP officers were on scene. Lifesaving efforts were made at the scene. EMS then arrived and Bergstrom was taken to Manchester Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
