BETHEL – Bethel police said a man trying to lure a 12-year-old into his car.
On Thursday at around 3:15 p.m., the 7th-grader said they were walking home from the bus stop and were approached by the man driving a black car, possibly a four-door. Police said the car could be a Ford Crown Victoria, possibly bearing Connecticut plates.
Police said the driver asked the child if they needed a ride home. The child said no and the driver demanded that they get in the car. The child took off and was never physically contacted by the man, who police described as around white, 40 years old, with black hair that was slicked back, clean-shaven, with a muscular build and a deep voice.
