New Haven road race still on for Monday

NEW HAVEN – The New Haven Labor Day road race is still on for Monday after race officials met with many City of New Haven Departments Sunday.

“We’ve been fortunate to have such great preparation and cooperation from nearly every City Department to make sure we could run our event,” said John Courtmanche, New Haven Road Race president in a press release.

The race begins at 8:15 a.m. with a Kids Race, before the 20K, ½ marathon, 5K and ½ marathon relay start at 8:40 a.m. About 6,000 runners are expected to participate in the run that finishes on the New Haven Green.
