HARTFORD -  Former State Senator Len Suzio is in the midst of his campaign to win back the seat he lost to Democrat Dante Bartolomeo four years ago. Suzio is taking Governor Dannel Malloy to court over the early release program for prison inmates. Suzio claims the state is failing to report that many who have been released before completing their sentences are now back in prison after committing rapes and murders, and he thinks the law should be repealed.

Mallloy said his commissioner is following the 2015 law and providing the data. Suzio said the commissioner is not releasing vital information about horrific crimes committed by prisoners who are let out early from prison.
