EAST HAVEN–A man has died from injuries that he sustained in an accident last Wednesday.
Police said 48-year-old Dominic Mongillo, who was bicycling on Forbes Place in East Haven around 4:15 p.m. last Wednesday, was seriously injured when he was hit by a car driven by a 23-year-old. Mongillo had serious injuries and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, but he died on Friday from the injuries he sustained.
Police are still investigating and don’t know yet if charges will be filed.
The accident is under investigation by the South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has any information is asked to please contact Officer Consolati at (203) 468-3820.
