Woman hit by car in Bristol listed in critical condition

BRISTOL - Lifestar was called to an accident in Bristol after a car hit a pedestrian near 258 Middle Street just after 3 p.m.

Police said they found a 57-year-old woman suffering from serious head, chest and leg injuries. She was identified as Leslie Davenport, of Bristol.

Lifestar was called to take her to Hartford Hospital for evaluation.  Davenport is listed in critical condition, and still was Thursday morning.

Police said she was crossing Middle Street in a westerly direction when she was hit by a southbound 2011 Ford Taurus, driven by a 56-year-old man, who was not injured. That man was identified as Daniel Bruneau, of  Terryville.

The road was closed and but has since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation and any witnesses to the crash are asked to call police at 860-584-3036.
