Nurse Advising Senior Woman On Medication At Home

HARTFORD — Connecticut has a new website designed to attract more people to the field of in-home caregiving.

Department of Social Services Commissioner Roderick Bremby on Thursday announced the launch of the website, CaringCareers.org, as well as an affiliated public awareness campaign.

Bremby says it’s important to expand the workforce of in-home professionals who can help older adults and the disabled have an alternative to nursing homes and institutional care.

The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is funding the media campaign, which will include TV and digital media ads and billboards in Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport, New Britain, Danbury and Torrington.
