NEW BRITAIN — Police at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain are investigating a sexual assault that happened on campus over the weekend.

“The student who reported the incident was provided with support and information from CCSU staff, including CCSU’s Victim’s Advocate,” police said Wednesday in a statement.

Police have not said whether the student knew his or her attacker or where specifically the assault took place.

“CCSU Police determined that the alleged assault was an isolated incident and not a threat to the campus community,” the statement added.
