25-year-old Norwich man charged with sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor

NORWICH–Police made an arrest on Friday after an extensive investigation into a reported ongoing sexual assault situation.

Norwich Police say that they were investigating Kevin J. Gardner, 25, of Norwich, over claims that he had sexually assaulted a juvenile female victim over a nine-year period. He was arrested on charges related to those crimes on Friday.

Gardner is charged with sexual assault in the first degree, sexual assault in the second degree, sexual assault in the third degree and risk of injury to a minor.

It’s not clear how old the victim is, and if she is still a minor, or if those charges due to the assault allegedly beginning nine years ago.

He was held on $50,000 bond and is due in court on September 19.
