HARTFORD -- State Rep. Joe Aresimowicz - Currently the House Majority Leader, he is next in line to become Speaker of the House.

He talks about the upcoming session, enormous budget challenges, and what his approach will be.

Aresimowicz will also face the continuing state budget deficit, and efforts to change state funding for education following last week's court ruling.

Advocacy groups are looking to spend money on Connecticut's upcoming state legislative races, some for the first time.

This latest batch of independent expenditures involving General Assembly races comes two years after outside groups spent more than $16 million on Connecticut's governor's race.
