New Haven Police investigating homicide

NEW HAVEN – Police are investigating a homicide they said occurred Wednesday evening.

According to New Haven Police, 31-year old Levern Bellamy was shot along Dorman Street at around 10 p.m. last night.

Bellamy was found in the backyard of 38 Dorman Street and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Bellamy lived at 36 Dorman Street.

There is also no suspect description at this time. Details are limited as police actively search for a suspect.
