SHARON –  A Sharon man State Police said could be armed and dangerous is now in custody in New York.

On Monday at around 8 p.m. police said they got a report of an active disturbance in Sharon.

At around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, police tried to serve an arrest warrant to the suspect, Raymond Sprague, 28, at his West Meadow Road home. Police said the suspect fled from them and at the time, was believed to be in his house, refusing to surrender.

Police remained on the scene at West Meadow Road for about 18 hours but by Wednesday morning, police said Sprague left the scene with his dog.

Police are looking for Sprague, who is possibly armed and dangerous and may have his Rottweiler with him. He is believed to be in northwest Connecticut or eastern New York.

There is an active felony arrest warrant for Sprague from Connecticut State Police and from New York law enforcement.
