Suspicious ‘white powder’ mailed to legal aid offices in New Haven

NEW HAVEN – New Haven first-responders were called to a potential hazmat situation at the offices of New Haven Legal Assistance.

Police said a white powder was sent in the mail to 426 State Street, the home of New Haven Legal Assistance.

The New Haven Police Department Bomb Squad is responding to the scene and the FBI has also been called in.

There is an active investigation at the scene right now.
