HARTFORD -- What a fun puppy!

Cooper is a yellow lab mix and he's looking for a new home. He's about 2.5 years old and is a typical, high-energy, happy and playful lab.

He is fully housebroken and mostly trained. The fun thing with him is discovery - learning what he already knows through firing commands at him and seeing how he responds. He loves other dogs, and plays very well with most of them, and loves the dog park.

He would be great with older kids who can play with him, and help keep up with his training. In his former home, he was with kids, but they were very young, and did not always know how to behave with them, and he in turn, with them.

In his prior home, they did a wonderful job training him, but he just wasn’t the right match.  There was a special needs child, and Cooper’s energy was just too much.

His ideal home would be with someone who has another dog and needs a playmate, or in a home that wants a young, active, but good-hearted dog.
