ORANGE — One person was killed while crossing Boston Post Road Friday night.
Police said the accident happened near 205 Boston Post Rd. at about 9:45 p.m. Friday. The victim was walking east on the south side of the Boston Post Rd and was struck while attempting to cross to the north side of the roadway.
Orange police said the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim remained on scene and the operator is cooperating with investigators.
The victim was identified as Charlotte Fox, 35, of New Haven, who was part of the homeless community in the city.
