High pressure has settled over New England that will continue to deliver a beautiful Sunday with mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures.  Get ready for some beautiful New England fall foliage too, as the season tends to peak across Central New England this weekend.  The foliage is already past peak for Northern New England, but for us, you can expect moderate to near peak colors with the peak of the season coming late next week and weekend.

A warming trend gets underway Sunday, with highs approaching 70 degrees. Warmer temperatures will continue for most of this week, with daytime highs in the 70s.   In fact we have a good chance of reaching and exceed 80° by the middle of the week when we could possibly tie or break of couple record highs.  The record high for Tuesday is 80° and  Wednesday is 82°.

A cold front will drop temperatures a bit on Thursday, but still mild for the time of year.  The front will stall south of New England and Connecticut on Friday with low pressure that could possibly deliver some much needed rain.  However, it's still a bit too early to tell just how much rain and for how long the event might last.
