MADISON — Someone shot a BB gun at buses leaving Daniel Hand High School Friday afternoon, and now police and the school system are investigating.

In a message to parents, Thomas Scarice, Madison Superintendent of Schools said four buses were leaving the high school when they were struck by what appears to be a “projectile from a BB gun.”

The window on one bus was damaged and two students suffered minor injuries. The students did not require medical attention and they were taken home on another bus, Scarice said.

“I can assure you that will we work with the Madison Police Department as they conduct their investigation and work together to ensure the safety of our students,” Scarice said in his statement.

The school is located 286 Green Hill Road and has 1,276 students.
