HARTFORD — The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team won their first exhibition game against the University of New Haven 83-68.
The teams played Sunday afternoon at the XL Center. UConn had five players in double figures, Vance Jackson lead the way with 15 points in the first exhibition.
After leading by 1 at halftime, UConn outscored UNH 47-33 in the 2nd half to pull away.
Danny Upchurch of UNH led all scorers with 33 points.
