Police: 6 dead after buses collide in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police said there are six people are dead after a school bus and a commuter bus crashed in southwest Baltimore Tuesday morning. Police said there were no children on a school bus, however.

Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith said there were also other injuries in the crash that occurred around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Video from above the scene shows the front part of a yellow school bus smashed into the side of a Maryland Transit Administration bus. The driver’s side of the MTA bus is ripped off with debris spilling down onto the road. Video from CNN affiliate WBAL shows the school bus wedged into the side of the commuter bus, with firefighters surrounding the scene.

Police are expected to release more details soon.
