HARTFORD — Police said a woman wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Rhode Island has been captured in Hartford.

Police said Trearra Hudgen, 26, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was arrested Thursday at around 3:45 p.m. as she was walking out of a Dollar General Store located at 1250 Park Street in the Parkville section of Hartford. The U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, which includes a Hartford detective, made the arrest.

She is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on Friday on a fugitive from justice charge. Hudgen will be extradited to Rhode Island.

Police said Hudgen is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting Monday of Matthew Reverdes, 29, on Cedar Street in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Police have not yet disclosed a possible motive.
