HARTFORD — The NAACP wants Connecticut to get out and vote on Tuesday.

The Greater Hartford branch is just one of many working around the clock this weekend.

They’re knocking on doors and making calls to help educate voters.

And they want people to know — they aren’t asking you to vote for any particular candidate.

They’re even offering rides to the polls to make sure everyone can cast their vote.

“We’re just out here trying to counter voter suppression efforts, educate voters, let them know what they need to bring … and move any obstacles to getting out and voting.” said John J Thomas, Political Action Chair for the NAACP of Greater Hartford.

Anyone who wants to volunteer, needs information on how to vote, or help getting to their polling place can come to their headquarters at 3580 Main St. in Hartford.

If you need a ride on Tuesday to vote you can call 860-241-0001.
