Despite pool of new players, Quinnipiac ready to shine on the basketball court

HAMDEN--Quinnipiac men's head basketball coach Tom Moore starts his 10th season facing off against the Vermont Catamounts this Saturday.

This year's Bobcats have a definite different look, and are starting off with different expectations than most years.

With two freshman and several community college transfers expected to make immediate impacts, the lack of experience and chemistry has landed the Quinnipiac in the 10th spot of preseason picks in the MAAC.

But Coach Moore and the players are undeterred by the way outsiders see their prospects, and after weeks of inter-squad play are just thankful that they get test their skills against some new opponents.
